This was once a beautiful river. Fishermen spred nets; Foos captured fish; Beautiful scenes let people feel comfortable.
Now, this river, once called Citarum, is actually not a river. It is filled by rubbish and industral garbages. Only the small boat, could let people think it was a river.
People who live nearby could not fish anymore. It seems that picking garbages would be easier for living. There are plastic bottles, broken table legs, rubber gloves. The risk is catching deseases such as skin cancer.
There are more than 500 factories near this river. Many of them are textile factories, which produces numerious industry sewages directly pulled into the river.
There is no recycling station, no modern toilet. All things are directly let into river where the drinking water is from.
